Richmond Vault is an atmospheric gastropub, craft beer and cocktail bar, ideally located in the heart of one of London's most desirable boroughs, Richmond. Tucked snugly underneath two Georgian buildings, the space sprawls across a cosy bar area, where the unique structure of the building creates curvacious nooks and crannies for guests to enjoy a tipple or two.
Then, there's the lower-ground restaurant, which allows you to delve deeper into the space and enjoy the more formal, seated area where you can tuck into a sit-down dinner. Think richly-hued banquettes and booths, industrial lighting and modern decor touches, from patterned wallpaper to dried floral arrangements. From date night to after-work drinks and dinner, Richmond Vault is a much-loved all-rounder.
As a gastropub, the menu reflects a best of British feel with plenty of crowd-pleasing classics, updated with a contemporary twist. First up, you might want to start with a few sharing small plates, choosing between the likes of garlicky Middle Eastern labneh with tahini and black pepper, alongside hummus caviar with Padron peppers, and salt and pepper calamari.
When it comes to mains, expect plenty of choice whether you're a meat eater, pescatarian or prefer a plant-based diet. We love the sound of the chargrilled lamb kofta with grilled baby aubergines, home made special sauce and rice, or the pan-fried sea bass with yellow rice, red coriander sauce and caramalised onions.
Vegetarian options include the vegan moussaka with tomatoes, chickpeas and onions, or if you fancy something more indulgent take a look at the burgers and pizzas section, where you'll find margherita or veggie pizzas, alongside the hallumi burger with pesto sauce and fries.
