Restaurant 1881 at Stanhill Court Hotel is an all-day brasserie open for lunch and dinner, with Sunday roasts and afternoon tea also available. It is well-suited for family meals, birthday celebrations, group dining and relaxed dates. Set within the Surrey countryside, the dining room features high ceilings, chandelier lighting, wooden panelling and an open fireplace, while large windows frame views across the surrounding landscape. The restaurant is dog-friendly and offers outdoor seating, including a terrace for alfresco dining in warmer months.
The menu combines British brasserie classics alongside globally inspired dishes. Starters include sauteed tiger prawns with chorizo, sticky Thai chicken wings and homemade soup of the day. Main courses range from fresh ale battered cod with chunky chips and chicken schnitzel with garlic butter to pan-fried British aged rib eye steak served with a choice of sides. Dishes such as Thai vegetable curry sit alongside stone-baked pizzas and salads, including Caesar and a quinoa bowl with mint, parsley, feta and cucumber. At lunchtime, sandwiches, wraps and lighter salads provide more casual options.
On Sundays, traditional roasts are served with carved meats brought to the table. Options include slow-roasted beef, rosemary and garlic chicken and pressed Red Tractor British pork belly, as well as a mixed platter. Each is served with all the trimmings, including Yorkshire puddings and proper gravy.
Afternoon tea is served daily, with guests able to choose a classic selection with tea or coffee, upgrade to a Bubbly afternoon tea with a bottle of Orobella Spumante, or opt for the Signature version served with a bottle of Mercier Brut Champagne for two.
An extensive drinks list includes cocktails, beers, spirits and soft drinks, alongside a dedicated wine list. A children’s menu features penne pasta with tomato sauce, chicken goujons with fries and desserts such as chocolate brownies or ice cream.
