Chef Jamie Walker honed his skills at the Cameron House Hotel on Loch Lomond, and his fixed-price menus offer terrific value (even with numerous supplements included). The kitchen offers a please-all mash-up of Anglo-European dishes ranging from crispy fried haggis bonbons with Arran mustard and whisky dip or poached fillet of haddock mornay with chive mash to pan-seared scallops with crab salsa, butternut squash purée and baby basil or coriander-crusted cannon of lamb with creamed leeks, red onion fondant and Madeira jus.
