SquareMeal Review of Ping Pong St. Christopher's Place

With branches peppered across London, this mini-chain touts affordable dim sum and drinks all day. The pan-Asian menu covers your traditional offerings of har gau and bao buns, with the addition of regularly changing specials such as succulent black prawn dumplings and crisp truffle-laced spring rolls. For the uninitiated, helpful staff run through the menu and are happy to make suggestions, then diners mark their order on the paper ‘pick and tick’ menus and each plate arrives at the table as soon as they are ready. Dishes are designed to share, however great value set menus (from £9.95 a head) can be ordered per person and cater to veggies, vegans and those after a healthier option. Soft drinks are no afterthought here, with a comprehensive selection of custom teas, infusions, juices and non-alcoholic cocktails running alongside a mix of wines, beers and cocktails. Fun and informal, Ping Pong ticks the boxes for anything from a quick bite to a lively special occasion.

Delicious, as always
Ping pong is definitely the go to place for reliably fresh dim sum. I am a big fan of the steamed spicy chicken dim sum, but was pleased to see a new addition to the menu with the ginger duck dim sum that was absolutely delicious! This was lunch during a shopping trip so it was nice to pop into the restaurant for a quick lunch with speedy service and delicious food. I left with a full and happy tummy!
