Park’s Edge Bar & Kitchen in Herne Hill offers a stylish dining experience overlooking Brockwell Park, making it a strong choice for birthdays, date nights, group dining and relaxed celebrations. This independent, family-owned restaurant is known for imaginative British cooking with global influences, served in a modern space of exposed brick walls, dark wood, teal leather seating and soft chandelier lighting.

Head Chef Tom Spinks leads the kitchen with a passion for seasonal produce and bold flavour combinations. Guests can visit throughout the day for brunch, lunch or dinner, with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options available. Weekend brunch is popular, offering classics like Full English and signature plates such as Easy Like Sunday Morning, which features poached eggs with hollandaise sauce, grilled chorizo, smashed avocado and spicy chilli mango chutney on sourdough.

A dedicated burger menu is on offer at lunch, featuring handmade gourmet options. Highlights include the Park’s Edge Lobster Royale and Wagyu Cheeseburger, pairing a garlic and herb lobster tail with an eight-ounce wagyu patty and the kitchen’s secret sauce. Other choices include the Truffle King Wagyu Burger or a three-cheese and garlic-stuffed chicken breast burger.

The dinner menu begins with small plates such as crab and salmon fish cakes and salt and pepper crispy squid. Larger plates include pan fried pimento fillet of sea bass, whole grilled garlic lobster tail with tiger prawns or pulled pork belly with caramelised apple.

Gorgeous Food - Worth It
My husband booked for us for my birthday surprise, having checked it out first himself by himself for a meal to see if it was worth it. And it is. Small and cosy and interesting stuff on the menu which all tastes delicious. I had a beautiful hake - melted in my mouth and honestly we thought we were in the West End with the quality of our 3-courses, cheese and wines to accompany our meal. Have to say we were surprised the pricing wasn't higher for the food and ambience. I probably would like to see a little more choice on the menu but everything we chose was simply perfect and we can't wait to go back! We will be back! Ps. Was unsure about the decor probably because everything is pared back, simple and plain but after a while, I absolutely loved it! Whoever designed the space with all the knick knacks is genius - it's actually very gorgeous with interesting things to look at.
