From the same team behind Trinity - chef Adam Byatt’s revered Michelin-starred restaurant in Clapham Old Town - comes Outside by Trinity, an outdoor sandwich concept serving luxurious sarnies using restaurant-worthy produce and techniques. It originally set up shop outside Trinity itself in Clapham - hence the name - but has since relocated to a second pop-up location within Nova Coffee & Bakery in Farringdon.
The concept remains the same. Drawing on the resources at the Michelin restaurant, the idea is to offer customers a more accessible and affordable product, but with the same commitment to quality and technique that defines the Trinity kitchen.
The menu features five staple sandwiches, alongside weekly-changing specials, and draws on classic cooking techniques and flavours. Staple sarnies include the Smoked Pork Reuben, with mustard, French sausage and gruyere, as well as the Red Curry Prawn, featuring coconut curry prawns with smashed cucumber and coleslaw. Vegetarian options are also available, like the Aubergine Parm (a weekly-changing special) filled with aubergine, marinara sauce and pesto.
Three types of chips are also on the list, including plain, lemon, garlic and parmesan, and fajita with jalapeno sour cream. And if you still have room for something sweet, you can find a rotating soft serve flavour every week, kicking off with English strawberry.
Drinks wise, a selection of softs, wines, and beers on tap will quench visitors thirst after one of their mega sandwiches.
