Koolba is an Indian and Persian restaurant on Candleriggs in Glasgow's Merchant City, serving tandoori dishes, curries and Persian kebabs alongside a personally sourced beer and wine list. It holds the title of Curry Capital Ambassador, awarded by the Lord Provost of Glasgow.
The menu spans Persian kebabs such as the Chicken (Joojeh), Majestic (Makhsoos) and Royal (Soltani), alongside Indian dishes including bhuna, dopiaza and saag, and tandoori options such as king prawn, monkfish, salmon and paneer tikka. In 2015, Koolba was named Britain's Best Curry Restaurant, the same year Glasgow was declared Curry Capital of Scotland. Glasgow had earlier been named Curry Capital of Britain in 2010, with Koolba one of four restaurants chosen to represent the city, alongside Balbir's, Mister Singh's India and Mother India Café.
The drinks list includes Kingfisher, an Indian lager, alongside the Scottish beers Arran Blonde and Arran Dark, and Paulaner Munich Lager from Germany.
