Glaze Restaurant at Crowne Plaza Marlow

My wife and I had a short break in the hotel and ate both breakfast and dinner in the restaurant. Dinner was an interesting combination of Indian and English food and my Shiraz was superb.

Breakfast was beautifully set out with a vast selection of food and drinks. With excellent service and a great welcome from Sabu it was a wonderful start to each day.

We had the breakfast buffet whilst staying at the hotel. We were greeted excellently at the door by an extremely polite and friendly man who was dressed smartly. A very good first impression. The breakfast buffet was unlimited so good value and had a good selection although I feel that the quality wasn't as good as it could have been. The toast was burnt and the yoghurt drink wasn't labeled so I tried it assuming it was strawberry milkshake. I didn't like the taste. I personally didn't like the bread, I thought that the loaves on offer were not fluffy in texture but hard, the crust wasn't crunchy. There was hot food on offer although when a member of my party used the 'wrong' tongs to pick up the food they were spoken to quite rudely by the chef behind the counter when in fact the tongs were in the wrong place. The chef then told us to put it in the right place as if it was our responsibility to do so. After eating, we left and were thanked on our way out. Overall, I was quite satisfied but there are definitely some small improvements needed.
