Giannino Mayfair brings the heritage of one of Milan’s most historic restaurants to London, serving refined Italian cuisine rooted in traditional Milanese cooking. Originally founded in Milan in 1899, the restaurant built a reputation for elegant Italian dining, and its Mayfair outpost continues that legacy with a menu that blends classic recipes with modern presentation.
The interiors combine traditional Italian elegance with contemporary design. Rich walnut panelling, brushed brass accents and statement designer chandeliers create a polished dining room. The result is a sophisticated setting well suited to celebratory meals, date nights and special occasions. The a la carte menu centres around Italian ingredients and classic techniques. Starters may include dishes such as salmon tartare, wild sea bass tartare, grilled octopus or Scotch beef meatballs, alongside baked courgettes with cherry tomatoes and Parmesan.
Pasta and risotto feature prominently, with options such as tagliolini with crab, pappardelle ragu, fettuccine Giannino and wild mushroom risotto. Larger plates include roasted wild sea bass, sirloin steak and wagyu bavette, served with a selection of sides and salads. At lunchtime, guests can choose from a stripped-back à la carte offering or opt for a set lunch menu. This typically includes a starter such as smoked salmon, followed by a pasta dish or main course and finishes with a classic Italian dessert such as tiramisu. Desserts on the main menu continue the Italian theme with options such as dark chocolate mousse with olive oil and sea salt, homemade ice creams and the restaurant’s signature Rose Cake Giannino served with warm zabaglione cream.
The kitchen is led by executive chef Salvatore Suzzi, who works with his team to curate a menu focused on traditional Italian flavours and seasonal ingredients. An extensive wine list completes the experience, featuring red, white, rosé, and sparkling wines and Champagnes available by the glass or bottle.
