Set up by the guys from the Retro Games Base shop in Streatham, this Peckham bar is a treasure trove of vintage video-arcade classics – a resurgent trend from back in the day when Atari’s I, Robot
was as hi-tech as it got. If the likes of Space Invaders, Asteroids, Street Fighter II or Tron turn you on, the owners can keep you oiled with Meantime and Camden ales on draught, plus craft names
such as Brixton Effra, Brick Pioneer, Weird Beard Mariana Trench, Peckham Pils and various Beavertown bottles. Half a dozen wines and everyday cocktails are available, while games and toys flagged
up in letters to Santa add to the nostalgic fun in this pretty basic venue. Hot food is planned, but when you’re an old-school anorak having a whale of a time, do you really care?
