With a menu designed for sharing, Dishes by Andrew Sheriden focuses on delicious small plates, using fresh, seasonal ingredients to create sensational bursts of flavour. Six to eight dishes are recommended for two people, but there are also large dishes, which can be enjoyed as solo mains, or as larger sharing dishes for the table.
From the individual section, enjoy cone cheese and onion, a venison and truffle tart, or spiced corn ribs and lime. There's also a bowl of edamame with chilli and garlic, BBQ olives in cheddar cheese, and hand dived scallop café de Paris. From the small plate section, try the mussels on toast with chipotle butter, deliciously creamy halloumi fries with honey and chilli, or Jerusalem artichoke and truffle arancini. The large dishes include crispy potatoes with truffle and parmesan, a perfectly cooked pork chop with apple caramel and wholegrain mustard sauce, delicious confit sweet potato with baked feta and romesco sauce, and a halibut steak in curry sauce. You'll also find a hefty bone in sirloin with bearnaise sauce, merguez lamb kofta with chickpea hummus, dill and carrot, and sticky Korean chicken with spring onion and peanut.
If you're just looking for a nibble, order the flat bread, with topping options of chorizo and tomato, roasted onion with parmesan and truffle, or pumpkin with goat's curd and parmesan. On Sundays, a roast is served, with options of slow cooked beef or lamb, pork belly, or for vegetarians, a baked potato – which is a rather unique option. All roasts are served with roast potatoes, yorkshire pudding, glazed carrots, tenderstem broccoli, greens, cauliflower cheese and gravy. There aren't too many desserts to choose from, but plenty of delicious flavours to enjoy. Pick the creamy tiramisu, sweet blackberry and frangipane tart, or crispy brie with honey.
