Carlyle’s is a friendly, family run cafe in the heart of Balerno.
We are passionate about food and pride ourselves on a menu created using fresh & locally
sourced high welfare produce, as much as possible of which is hand picked from our allotment.
Our newly refurbished building was designed to create an oasis of calm with open original stone walls, up cycled reclaimed furniture, a hand crafted tables and a solid oak counter. We wanted to open a venue with a relaxed casual ambiance perfect for a relaxing brunch, lunch with friends.
We specialise in home made waffles and crepes, breakfast, lunch and desserts. Cakes and treats are made here daily by a wonderful pastry chef, and our range of ice creams constantly change.
