The legacy of Antonio Carluccio continues at Carluccio’s, which offers easy-going, all-day Italian cooking at Marriott Regents Park. You’ll find the restaurant just outside Primrose Hill, a short walk from Swiss Cottage and South Hampstead stations.
It’s impossible not to notice the grand, arched ceilings as you walk into the restaurant, complete with large contemporary circular lights hanging. The feel inside is slick and modern, with gold accents highlighting white walls and corniced columns. It’s a huge space, with plenty of room for large groups, as well as a bar and counter dining area that’s popular for drinks, as well as breakfast dining. The restaurant also has an outdoor terrace where you can dine in the warmer months.
The menu is exactly what you expect from Carluccio’s - classic, accessible Italian cooking for all times of day. The all day menu kicks off with focaccia, mixed olives and breads before you can get stuck into calamari fritti, meatballs in tomato sauce, antipasti sharing boards and salads. Pasta and risotto sticks to recognisable regional specialities, like braised beef ragu pappardelle, lasagne and spaghetti carbonara, but there’s lots more to explore on the menu otherwise, including more salads, fish dishes, meat from the grill and steaks cooked to your preference. Not to mention an extensive pizza menu, lots of desserts, and separate gluten-free and children's menus too.
Breakfast here is also popular, combining simple pleasures like porridge and toast, with some Italian twists - the cooked breakfast comes with pancetta, for example, and there’s a popular pancetta focaccia sandwich, as well as eggs Florentine on toasted ciabatta. You can even purchase Carluccio pastas, wines, coffees and more, as well as gift hampers, whilst you’re here.
