The Heathcote Brasserie offers all-day dining within the beautifully restored 19th-century Heathcote Hotel, combining historic character with a contemporary menu. Inspired by classic European brasseries, the restaurant serves everything from breakfast through to evening meals in a space designed for everything from casual dining to celebratory gatherings and after-work drinks.
Inside, the dining room is bright and spacious thanks to large windows that flood the room with natural light during the day. A striking marble-topped bar acts as a focal point, decorated with bold black and white chevron tiling that continues across sections of the floor. Leather banquette seating and deep blue velvet chairs create cosy corners for dining, while bar stools line the counter for casual drinks or countertop dining, while industrial-style pendant lighting add a contemporary edge.
Breakfast offers a mix of hearty favourites and lighter options. Guests can opt for a full English or vegetarian breakfast, smoked salmon with scrambled eggs, or eggs Florentine, Benedict or Royale. Lighter choices include almond berry bircher, raspberry chai pudding or a fruit pot, while pancakes topped with coconut yoghurt and mixed berries provide a sweeter option alongside teas, coffees and fresh juices.
The lunch and dinner menus feature a range of brasserie-style dishes. Nibbles include olives, smoked almonds and halloumi with chia seed fries, while sandwiches such as croque monsieur, steak ciabatta, club sandwich and fish finger roll provide more substantial daytime options. Larger mains include slow-cooked feather blade of beef with creamed potatoes and red wine sauce, buttered chicken breast, aubergine tagine, linseed-crusted salmon and penne pasta with garlic prawns.
Sides include options such as truffle and pecorino chips, sweet potato fries and tenderstem broccoli. Desserts round off the menu with comforting classics, including sticky toffee pudding and seasonal fruit crumble, alongside more inventive options such as mini chocolate gnocchi. Drinks include cocktails, wines and premium spirits.
