This Bill’s may appear small from the outside with its visibly low ceilings. However, combined with the cosy booths and quaint décor, it makes for a great place to enjoy an evening meal with a loved one, or a catch up with friends.
The menu is full of British classics such as the Bill’s fish pie, and pan-fried chicken with wild mushrooms. There are also some fusion dishes such as the chicken green curry and the mojo-marinated chicken skewers. The burgers and steak menu are great if you don’t feel like leaving your comfort zone a wide range of salads with different options for vegetables and dressings are also on offer.
The dinner specials menu also means that each day you’ll be able to order a different dish. On Mondays, for instance, there’s a vegan black bean chilli on the menu, and on Tuesdays, you can try the duck pie with mash and pickled red cabbage. We’ll let you discover the rest for yourself.
Now, onto cocktails. Bill’s has a huge selection of signature drinks worth giving a try with your meal. The Hedgerow Fizz with Prosecco and frozen blackberries is nice, and the Pineapple Somerset Sour with apple brandy and rosemary would be great for summer evenings. For colder evenings, perhaps the Rhubarb Rossini and classic Espresso Martini are better.
Lastly, you can’t go out for an evening meal without finishing off with a sweet treat. Luckily, Bills has a menu full of sugary delights, such as the chocolate and hazelnut praline sphere (great for Instagram) and the warm triple chocolate brownie. If you aren’t a chocolate person, the mango and passionfruit Eton mess and apple and salted caramel crumble will finish your meal nicely.
The all-day dining menu means that you can visit Bill’s regardless of what time it is, and enjoy some authentic British food at a reasonable price and in a great setting.
