Eastbourne has plenty of pretty, coastal charm amongst its streets, and plenty to keep you occupied. But amongst all of that, this East Sussex town also has plenty of great places to eat, including, you guessed it, Bill's. If you've been busy strolling by the seafront all morning, and you're looking for somewhere to retreat and enjoy cocktails and a tasty bite to eat, then Bill's is the answer.
Breakfast is served until 11.30am, and includes all the classics – creamy porridge with fruit and cinnamon sugar, bacon rolls, and avocado on sourdough toast with spicy cherry tomatoes. But if you don't want to rush out of bed, and find yourself strolling through the Bill's doors a little later, fear not. The menu’s brunch dishes are served from 11.30am until 5pm, and many of them cross over with the options available at breakfast time. Bill’s big brunch consists of two fried eggs, smoked streaky bacon, Cumberland sausage, roasted plum tomatoes, mushrooms, fried potatoes, baked beans, black pudding and toast, plus, there’s the option to order a stack of five fluffy buttermilk pancakes, with your choice of topping – smoked streaky bacon, berries with whipped vanilla cream, and Biscoff crumb with maple and banana.
Later in the day, check out the main menu, which includes steaks, a stack of BBQ ribs, chicken schnitzel and more. We love the sound of Bill's duck curry, with butternut squash, tomato, sugar snap peas and spinach, served with coconut rice, pickled red cabbage, turmeric pickled onions and mint raita. To round off your meal, don’t forget to order a sweet treat. A stand out for us is the warm triple chocolate brownie, served with warm chocolate sauce, vanilla ice cream and a chocolate flake.
