Aya & Suki is a female, queer-owned vegan and vegetarian restaurant nestled in the heart of Broadway Market, which celebrates Eastern Mediterranean flavours, traditional cooking, and community spirit.
This welcoming neighbourhood spot exudes warmth and charm. The interiors are cosy yet eclectic, with a relaxed atmosphere that encourages guests to linger. Whether you're popping in for a casual lunch or settling in for a leisurely dinner, the space feels like an extension of the owners’ personality - creative, inclusive and full of heart. The restaurant underwent a transformation in May 2021, evolving from its previous incarnation as Baba Souks.
The menu is a colourful tapestry of plant-based dishes inspired by the rich culinary heritage of the Middle East. Expect bold spices, fresh herbs and lovingly prepared plates that invite sharing and conversation. From creamy hummus and smoky baba ganoush to fragrant rice dishes and seasonal vegetable creations, every bite reflects a commitment to authenticity and sustainability. Other dishes include sesame miso aubergine, curry lentil dahl, crispy cauliflower and agave roasted carrots. For breakfast, brunch and lunch, there’s warm flatbreads, orange and cranberry granola, halloumi and aubergine wrap, shaksuka and honey baked crumpets with labneh. The kitchen champions whole ingredients and avoids mass food production, offering a refreshing alternative to the mainstream.
The drinks offering includes coffee and tea as well as soft drinks and alcoholic options - beers are sourced from Hammerton Brewery, wines are vegan and natural, and there’s an array of spirits too.
Located in Broadway Market, Aya & Suki is perfectly positioned for a post-stroll meal or a weekend gathering. It’s more than just a restaurant - it’s a haven for those seeking flavourful, nourishing food in a space that celebrates diversity and tradition.
