About

Albert’s Schloss brings a theatrical Alpine beer hall experience to Chamberlain Square in Birmingham, combining indulgent Bavarian food, live entertainment and a lively, all-day atmosphere. Modelled on the original Manchester location, the space blends grand interiors with a playful spirit, offering a venue that works equally well for long lunches, after-work drinks and late-night revelry.

At the heart of the venue is the Cook Haus, an open kitchen and dining space serving a bold menu of Bavarian and Alpine-inspired comfort food. Dishes include crispy pork knuckle, schnitzel, fondue, bratwurst and slow-roasted pork belly, alongside lighter options like spätzle and seasonal salads. An in-house bakery produces fresh pretzels, pastries and brioche buns each day, adding to the sense of abundance and care in the cooking.

The drinks offering is no less ambitious. A wide selection of European beers are served on tap, with brews from Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic poured directly from large copper tanks behind the bar. Cocktails and schnapps also feature heavily, with a dedicated schnapps bar and an ever-changing list of specials. Wines, soft drinks and alpine-themed spritzes round out the list.

Albert’s Schloss is known for its vibrant atmosphere, which is fuelled by a nightly programme of live music, DJs, cabaret and immersive performances under the banner of “Seven Days of Showtime.” Whether it’s piano-led singalongs, table dancing or late-night DJ sets, the entertainment plays a central role in shaping the energy of the space.

The design leans into grandeur and warmth, with chandeliers, long communal tables, tiled floors and a dramatic mezzanine bar. There is plenty of space to move around, and the layout is accessible and thoughtfully planned, although it can get busy during peak hours.

Albert’s Schloss combines the energy of a party venue with the substance of a well-run kitchen. It is a place where food, drink and performance are given equal weight, making it ideal for celebratory dinners, group nights out or spontaneous after-work gatherings. The result is a venue that feels big-hearted, generous and unashamedly fun.
