London isn't short of some stupendous private dining rooms, but if you're looking for the last word in luxury, St James's isn't a bad place to start. The five-star St James's Hotel & Club offers wall to wall opulence, from the beautiful suites to the fine dining Seven Park Place restaurant, run by executive chef William Drabble.
Drabble looks after all the food in the hotel with a personal touch, including the numerous private dining rooms which are available to hire for a wide range of occasions. The largest of those is the Mayfair Suite, which seats up to 30 guests for dinner, and features shimmering gold leather wallpaper and lots of natural light thanks to an impressive glass roof. The Library, Granville and Wellington Boardroom are rather smaller, with capacity for 12 and 8 seated guests respectively; both can be set up with a long banqueting table, and are fully equipped with AV kit, video conferencing software and WiFi for easy corporate lunches and business meetings.
The food at St James's Hotel & Club takes plenty of inspiration from classic French cuisine, but uses the best seasonal British ingredients. There's a wide variety of menus on offer as well, catering to any sort of private dining occasion, from canapes and bowl food, to express business lunches and full tasting menu experiences. Dishes on the menu include starters such as seared foie gras with sweet and sour peach and gingerbread; mains like Assiette of Lune Valley Lamb or poached South Coast Turbot with Langoustine vinaigrette and summer vegetables; and desserts such as a set citrus custard with citrus fruits and Lancashire yogurt sorbet.
Though a wide range of menus are available, you can also work with the in-house events team if you have any specific individual requirements. The team can also organise anything else, from decorations to entertainment.
