Private dining at Whiteley’s Kitchen, Bar & Café offers an intimate extension of the restaurant’s maverick British spirit within Six Senses London at The Whiteley. Designed as a contemporary gathering place rooted in the heritage of London’s original department store, Whiteley’s provides distinctive spaces for corporate private dining, celebratory dinners, and cocktail-led dining. Plus, with a convenient location near Paddington and Bayswater stations, travel is simple for London-based guests and those coming from further afield.
There are two dedicated options available. The Alchemy Bar accommodates up to 12 guests for private dining or meetings. This characterful setting draws on Six Senses’ wellness philosophy, complete with apothecary-style drawers and shelves packed with jars of ferments, spices, and cordials, with dried flowers and herbs hanging overhead.
For larger gatherings, the Whiteley Suite offers a 66 square metre space with two bathrooms and an expansive 125 square metre private terrace, adding flexibility for arrival drinks or summer entertaining. Here, you can host up to 25 guests for intimate receptions, brand showcases, or private celebrations.
As for private dining menus, that’s under the command of executive chef Eliano Crespi and head chef Jose Jara, whose approach centres on vegetable-forward modern British cuisine informed by the seasons. Dishes highlight fermentation techniques and time-led cooking, and may offer up plates like charcoal-grilled Suffolk pork with shio koji and mustard jus, handmade gnocchi with cavolo nero and Stilton, or salt-baked English pear with rooibos-infused crème légère.
The drinks programme, led by director of bars Adrian Gonzalez Parrondo and wine director Eugenio Egorov, is well placed to cater to private events, thanks to seasonal cocktails, alcohol-free pairings, and environmentally conscious wines selected with a focus on provenance and producer relationships.
