Old Sessions House is one of Clerkenwell's most distinctive events venues, spanning a stunning, 18th-century Grade II Listed building with capacity for 350, across lounges, dining rooms, snugs and even a rooftop. Known for its unique aesthetic, Old Sessions House has a grand facade, spanning cream-toned stone, pillars and regal steps, while inside, period features are given extra character with distressed wallpaper and on-trend furnishings. For photo shoots, brand events or even weddings, this is a venue of serious beauty and flair, particularly suited the aesthetes.
There's a diverse mix of spaces across the house, with The Great Room being a favourite. Form-led sofas contrast next to glittering chandeliers, while huge windows flood the space with light. It's a gorgeous place to host a dinner or drinks reception, with versatile seating and capacity for 160 standing and 120 seated. For smaller suppers, The Dining Room has capacty for 36 seated or 60 standing, anchored by a selection of rounded tables and upholstered chairs.
For cocktails, The Courtroom Bar is a must. Once the original courtroom, there's space for 60 people to socialise and mingle next to the statement bar. If you're looking for a space for a networking event, this is the one. Another option in summer is the rooftop, with a similar capacity - 30 seated or 50 standing - and bags of charisma.
One of the most atmospheric spaces to bring people together is The Chairman's Room with a banquet-style table set up for 18 people. This is a magical place to host a dinner, with glowy lighting and plenty of plants to make the space feel alive. For other, more commerical needs, there's The Cafe which can be taken over in the evenings, or The Showroom which offers a large, open space to display new collections, products or brand activations.
