There isn't a shortage of private dining options in King's Cross, but if you're looking for authentic Italian food from an independent restaurant, local favourite Casa Tua is worth adding to your shortlist.
Casa Tua is located on Cromer Street, a lovely, partly-residential road on the edge of Bloomsbury. Surrounded by period buildings and other independent restaurants, you'd never guess that bustling King's Cross station is just a few minutes' walk away. It's a great spot for bringing people together thanks to plenty of accessible transport links within easy distance.
The style of the restaurant is relaxed and homely, with rustic wooden furniture, plants and a few books decorating the space. As well as welcoming larger groups, the restaurant also offers private hire for 50 people on the ground floor and another 40 people on the lower ground. Full venue takeovers are welcomed, so you can make this Italian spot entirely your own for the day or evening.
Food is, of course, another great reason to book with Casa Tua. Founded over a decade ago by hospitality expert Giuseppe, he strove to bring the cuisine of his hometown, Puglia, to London, using his mother's recipes and foods he's loved since childhood. The menu spans breakfast, lunch and dinner, so if you're planning to bring people together in the daytime there are plenty of options from croissants filled with ricotta and pistachios, to an Italian brunch with sausage, mozzarella, tomato and eggs, and a selection of freshly-made paninis, too.
For dinner, guests are spoilt for choice across the gourmet pizza selection - including toppings like homemade chilli jam, artisan Apulian burrata cheese and Calabrian spicy n’duja sausage - as well as homemade pastas, from asparagus and garden pea risotto to red wine infused tagliatelle with rich beef ragú.
