Pizza has stolen the hearts of food lovers worldwide, and it’s no wonder, with the crisp golden crust, rich tomato sauce and gooey layer of cheese that clings as you pull apart each slice. Each chef has their own take on it, and at 500 degrees it’s all about keepings things classic, using only the freshest ingredients and cooking them at an intensely high heat of 500 degrees (hence the name).
You can kick things off with Italian favourites like bruschetta, baked aubergine and burrata before moving on to the main event where you’ll find a generous selection of pizzas available. Alongside some ‘oldie but goodies’ such as the marinara and margherita, you’ll also find tempting options like truffle pizza, one topped with tuna, and an ‘Italian spicy’ pizza with nduja and ham. Desserts are homemade and include the sweet staples we all know and love - think tiramisu, profiteroles and cannoli (there’s even a pistachio tiramisu for those who are feeling a little more adventurous).
To drink, you’ll find an impressive list of wines available - Italian, of course - ranging from prosecco through to a full bodied Chianti, and even a regional rosé (proving that our favourite pale pink vinos don’t always need to come from the South of France). For those who prefer to sip on something different, there’s also plenty of beer, cocktails and soft drinks to choose from.
If you’re looking to organise an event, then 500 Degrees lends itself as a great space for both smaller group bookings or exclusive hire, with a maximum capacity of 35 people, creating an intimate feel - perfect for celebrating with your nearest and dearest. The interiors are a combination of exposed brickwork and wooden flooring with fairy lights draped across the ceiling, but decorations are welcome for any parties and events when booking the entire venue.
