Located in the heart of London’s West End, The Royal Society of Chemistry at Burlington House is one of Mayfair’s most distinguished venues for hire. Exclusive hire allows up to 160 guests to enjoy the venue’s elegant rooms and historic courtyard, which provides a beautiful outdoor space for drinks receptions or summer gatherings. Inside, a choice of rooms suits both grand and intimate occasions. The Science Room, Council Room and Library each host up to 160 standing guests, while the Fish Room can hold 80, the Priestly Room 40 and the Hinshelwood Room 25. All spaces feature high ceilings, period detailing and natural light, creating an inspiring setting for corporate events, private functions or creative productions.

Catering is handled by award-winning in-house team Houston and Hawkes, who deliver a wide variety of menu options. Start the day with a continental, full English or healthy breakfast, followed by sandwich lunches, finger buffets or cold fork buffets featuring charcuterie platters, cheese boards and vegetarian dishes. Hot fork buffets include lamb, aubergine and tomato stew, roasted Scottish salmon or pumpkin ravioli, with desserts such as vegan carrot cake, banoffee tart and tiramisu. Three course fine dining meals, canape receptions and curated wine lists are also available.

Burlington House is fully equipped for modern events with Wi-Fi, video conferencing and hybrid meeting capabilities. It’s also a popular location for filming and photography thanks to its striking architecture and central Mayfair position.
