Sixes is a social cricket concept, similar to playing a game of crazy golf or darts with your best buds, but letting it rip in batting cages instead. The brand has venues across the UK, but the Manchester spot is particularly cool, positioned in the historic Corn Exchange building.
Inside, the interiors are creative and quirky, adding to the atmosphere and novelty vibe. While the batting nets are colourful, the main bar is chic and sultry featuring statement marble, rich, burgundy bar stools and monochrome tiled flooring. The dining spaces are light and bright with an industrial edge, complemented by fun neon signs and vintage video games.
If you have a special occasion coming up such as a birthday, hen do or office day out and want to organise something a little different for your friends and family, Sixes Social Cricket is a great experience from start to finish, with the team being well equipped to look after large group bookings.
When booking your activity slot, the time allowed and amount of cages allocated will depend on the amount of people in your party. For example, ten to 15 guests need 90 minutes and one net, while 16 to 20 guests need 60 minutes and two nets. All bookings come with an adjoining table to enjoy food and drinks whilst playing, but you can also book an extra table to have some drinks before or after you've played.
In terms of food, you can either order from the main menu or select a pre-made package. Packages go up to 30 people, but if you have more than that don't worry, just chat to the team and they'll help create something bespoke. With group packages your gang will have a flurry of drinks, sharers and main dishes, too, depending on what you fancy.
