Forget drinks at the local boozer, if you want to share some good times with your friends and do something a bit out of the ordinary, take a look at Sandbox VR - a full virtual reality experience in London's High Holborn.
Once inside the game, groups can see and hear everything in unison, as well as communicate with each other, as if they were in another world. Sandbox's versatile venue has a range of spaces to host up to 180 people and plenty of ways to have fun in the real world, too. The VIP Social Spaces can host up to 60 guests standing, offering a private area where you and your team can enjoy some post-experience food and drinks.
The Ground Floor Social Space combines post VR experience pods with areas to serve food and drink, and is ideal for larger groups of up to 120. It’s also home to the UK’s first fully robotic bartender, TONI, who can stir, shake and mix up cocktails and mocktails to order, serving them straight to you and your friends. If that isn't a party trick, we don't know what is! Larger celebrations can make the most of exclusive venue hire for up to 180, which includes access to four virtual areas as well as the ground floor and mezzanine spaces.
From meeting rooms to a wide range of outside catering options, the Sandbox team have thought of everything. And, once the presentations and team building, or just drinking and socialising, is done, it's time to step inside the game. There's a breadth of virtual reality games to choose from, whether you’re looking to fight your way through a zombie apocalypse in Deadwood Valley using a new range of weaponry, or take part in a Squid Games-style experience, undertaking eery tasks as you fight for your lives. Sounds pretty intense, right?
The only thing to note is that each game only has capacity for six people, and so while there are four different game spaces, not all of your party may be able to play at once.
