Harvey Nichols is a household name in high-end fashion, beauty and homewares, but for those living in Bristol, the experience can go beyond browsing the shelves. Indeed, if you're looking for a special place to host a important event or celebration, the city's luxury department store has a beautiful restaurant and bar which is available for hire.
Located on the second floor, the private hire experience is three-fold. First, is the main restaurant which packs a visual punch with wow-worthy metallic walls, a glimmering silver ceiling and sauve, neutral-toned furniture in 70s-style shapes. The space is sophisticated and chic, wtih an overall minamalist feel while still holding a strong design identity. There's plenty of room for a large dinner with space to mingle and socialise, too. For any event, the team are happy to work with you on a bespoke menu, courtesy of the AA Rosette-awarded chefs.
If planning a more intimate soiree, the private dining room sits just off the main restaurant and offers a different experience entirely. With one central table in a sectioned off space, the clear wall panels allow the hubbub from the restaurant to amp up the ambience, while retaining its exclusivity. Here, you can organise a dinner or even client meeting for up to 14 people.
Or, if a simple drinks getogether is on the agenda, try the chic, sleek bar which also benefits from the glittering colour scheme and sultry ambience. Here, you and your guests can enjoy the ever-changing drinks list served up by award-winning mixologists. Currently on the cocktail menu you'll find twists on classics like the Gingerbread Old Fashioned with Makers Mark 46, gingerbread syrup, Angostura bitters and orange bitters, or perhaps the 'cocktail of the month' which is a St Germain Spritz with St Germain elderflower liqueur, Harvey Nichols prosecco and soda.
