Occupying the 19th-floor rooftop of No.1 Spinningfields, 20 Stories is the first Manchester project from the D&D London restaurant group, which already operates a handful of sites in London such as 14 Hills and Bluebird Chelsea, as well as locations in Leeds, Paris and New York.
20 Stories is split between a glamorous restaurant and more casual grill, which offer distinct and locally sourced menus at different price points, with a cocktail bar and roof terrace boasting 360-degree views of the city skyline. Many of these areas are available to hire for private events.
Wherever you choose to host in the restaurant, you'll be treated to some magnificent views of Manchester, either from the al fresco rooftop, or through the triple-height panoramic glass windows of the restaurant. Starting with the latter, semi-private spaces on the rooftop are available for up to 60 guests, where the stunning views are perfect for informal drinks parties or networking events.
Inside the restaurant offers a similar range of options, and the elegant decor makes it perfect for private gatherings or impressing clients. Groups of up to 30 can hire areas within the restaurant, or larger groups can look into hiring the whole restaurant, or the whole grill restaurant. If you're planning a big corporate do, talk to 20 Stories about exclusive hire of the entire restaurant, bar and terrace, which has room for 540 guests (and you get those lovely views all to yourself).
Food and drink wise, 20 Stories can lay on anything from a full sit down meal to canapes and bowl food. Guests can also indulge in a classic afternoon tea, which begins with a selection of finger sandwiches, followed by freshly-baked scones and a range of sweet treats – think Macherry, pistachio and tonka bean Jaffa Cakes!
