Hawksmoor might now be a nationwide chain with restaurants up and down the country, but this first branch in Spitalfields is where it all began back in 2006. For lovers of the famed steakhouse, it doesn't get much better than celebrating one of the biggest events of the year – Christmas – in its original site where the true ‘Hawksmoor spirit’ is second to none.
The good news is that Hawksmoor Spitalfields can be hired exclusively for private celebrations, with work colleagues, friends and family able to come together over great steak and exceptional drinks. The back room of the restaurant can be hired for groups of between 35 to 55 guests for both corporate and social occasions. The room is decorated in typical brasserie-style fashion, with exposed brick walls, wraparound leather banquet seating, wooden parquet flooring and low-level lighting.
Although steak and seafood are bound to be part of the food offering, Hawksmoor is happy to tailor the menu to suit your requirements. From a spectacular feast complete with its grass-fed, native-breed beef and a plethora of sides, to a casual standing event with expertly crafted canapes and cocktails, the team can cater for multiple occasions.
To add extra sparkle to your festive bash, the restaurant is able to host a cocktail reception on arrival before indulging in a knockout sit-down dinner. There are also three carefully curated sharing menus to choose from which allow guests to sample plenty of Hawksmoor classics. You might like to start with Old Spot belly ribs and a smoked mackerel salad before moving on to your preferred cut of steak served with a selection of sides and sauces. Dessert is royally indulgent too, with options including sticky toffee pudding and a passion fruit pavlova. The team are also able to suggest wine pairings with your meal if liked.
