Following on from its original branch in Clerkenwell and its dinky drop-in on Wigmore Street, the laid-back Workshop Coffee Co is planning a new outlet on Holborn Viaduct. Caffeine geeks can sample
freshly roasted beans from the Clerkenwell ‘dispensary’, prepared using an array of Mazzer grinders and two custom-built La Marzocco espresso machines. The focus will be firmly on coffee, with the
interior comprising a 16m horseshoe-shaped bar, leather chairs and ‘poser’ tables, teak colour schemes and contemporary lighting – plus a private room approached via a sliding door. It’s not yet
clear what food will be available, if any – although the store will be packed with bags of coffee and assorted paraphernalia for those who fancy showing off their barista skills at home.
