Sister operation Imbibe is the market-leading drinks information service for the UK on-trade, with magazine, website, wine competition and exhibition at Olympia.

Restaurant Account Executives (Sales)

The Job

We are looking for restaurant account executives to join our growing digital sells team.  Square Meal is the major provider of à la carte restaurant bookings in the country and the Square Meal digital package offers restaurants great visibility and content on our website.

Salary

Appropriate to experience with great commissions and OTE.

Main duties include

Sales

  • Selling the restaurant digital package to London restaurants. This involves selling both over the telephone and via meetings

Account handle

  • Account handle and build a good relationship with the restaurants.
  • Offer on-going support and help promote the restaurant where possible.
  • Source offers and promotions from the restaurants when appropriate
  • Source loyalty products from restaurateurs

Requirements

  • Minimum 1-2 years direct sales experience
  • Experienced at cold calling
  • Self-motivated
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Good organizational skills and effective at time management
  • Confidence to communicate and present at all levels
  • Knowledge of selling to restaurants would be a bonus

Imbibe Account Manager and Senior Account manager (Sales)

This is a portfolio sales role across three products:

  • Imbibe Magazine: bi-monthly, aimed at on-trade drinks buyers and professionals
  • Imbibe Live: annual exhibition at Earl's Court aimed at the same demographic
  • Imbibe.com: exclusive on-trade website combining the magazine content and exhibition information with competitions and events.

Imbibe is the market-leading multi-platform drinks information service for the UK on-trade. This bi-monthly magazine combined with a website (Imbibe.com), show at Earls Court (Imbibe Live) and on-trade wine competition (Sommelier Wine Awards), makes Imbibe the leading drinks voice for the premium on-trade in the UK.

The Job

To sell display advertising in Imbibe magazine, web advertising on imbibe.com, exhibition space at Imbibe Live and
sponsorships across all three products to drinks and drinks-related clients across all sectors.

Key Accountabilities

  • Ability to organise, plan, present & close sales.
  • Ability to pitch at client and agency level and work with PR’s.
  • To develop new ways of generating revenue (out of the box thinking actively encouraged)
  • To work with the publishers to ensure all marketing & distribution opportunities are maximised.
  • Able to work in a close-knit team environment
  • Understanding of, or proven interest in the drinks industry Imbibe sectors
  • Premium spirits, wines, liqueurs, beers, waters, teas, coffees and on-trade related products and services

Knowledge & Experience

  • Advertising sales experience
  • Ideally knowledge of the drinks sector and the restaurant and bar sector
  • Exhibition and online sales experience (preferable, not essential)
  • Knowledge of selling direct to clients.
  • Knowledge of selling to advertising agencies.
  • Understanding of publishing preferable

Salary

Basic + commission/bonus
Very competitive
