Special Offers

Adjacent to the borders of Wiltshire, Devon and Dorset, Frome is a unique town with plenty to offer. Famed for being the original Somerset market town, Frome is known for its lively regular markets which take place up to three times a week. On the first Sunday of every month, the particularly special Frome Market Festival sets up in the centre, attracting visitors from far and wide with numerous stalls selling the best local food and drink, organic produce, homeware, gifts, trinkets and more. Its exciting calendar of events is not limited to the award-winning market, but also includes days like the Frome Carnival, cheese show and Christmas extravaganza, offering plenty to do throughout the year.

Frome has a history rooted in the wool and cloth industry, once being a larger town than Bath, and has more listed buildings than any other town in Somerset. The historic architecture is present throughout Frome and creates a distinctive ambience wherever you may be. Due to its location in the centre of Somerset, Frome also makes an excellent base to explore the surrounding towns and nearby historic monuments, like Stonehenge. Make a weekend of it and treat yourself and loved ones to a night or two in one of its boutique cottages or friendly B&Bs.

If you’re after some fresh air and exercise, you’re in luck, as the lush English countryside is right on your doorstep. Pack a picnic and take a hike through the rolling hills, hire a bike, or try something new like horse-riding for a fun day out.
