Honest Burgers goes large

The restaurant, whose first branch (pictured) opened in Brixton Market last year and was quickly followed by a second version in Soho, has set its sights on Brighton as the location for its third venue.

Owners Tom Barton and Phil Eles, who are originally from Brighton and worked together at the city’s Riddle and Finns before launching their own catering business, told Square Meal the project will not be put into action until late next year, as they are currently juggling the management of their two London ventures.

Honest Burgers has been described as serving some of the capital’s best burgers since it arrived on the London dining scene. Queues for tables form daily and nightly, and popular dishes include the signature Honest burger, made from beef from high-class butcher The Ginger Pig and served with rosemary-salted chips, plus daily specials.
