Channel star-crossed lovers on Valentine's Day

The Royal Shakespeare Company’s Rooftop Restaurant (in Stratford-upon-Avon’s Royal Shakespeare Theatre) will be serving specially concocted romantic cocktails to star-crossed lovers this Valentine’s Day, inspired by Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet.

Juliet (or Smoked Rose) is a heady mix of smoked blueberries, a maraschino cherry, spiced rum, crème de mûre, and rose-bud-infused syrup, served in a Martini glass.

Romeo (or Dark Rose) includes blackberries, violet-infused-syrup, apple, Calvados and lime juice and is served in a short glass.

The Rooftop Restaurant is also offering a special Valentine’s Day menu (three courses for £42), including a book of Shakespeare’s sonnets for each couple.
