Following its South Ken debut, this is the second London site for Levantine restaurant Ceru. Yellow walls and brightly coloured Moroccan ceramics make for a spritely, vibrant interior, and the menu has a light edge too being wholly gluten- and dairy-free (many of the options are also vegan). The open-plan kitchen turns out small plates aplenty including an earthy pancar dip made with roasted beetroot, yoghurt, garlic and crushed pistachio; also worth trying is a refreshingly crisp apple, mint and pomegranate salad. Among the larger plates, slow-roasted lamb shoulder doesn’t hold back on flavour, marinated in a 12-spice blend and served with pomegranate, fresh mint and pistachio sauce. Drinks are equally varied, with a wine list that traverses the Mediterranean, plus cocktails and vegan, gluten-free beers. Ceru is set to open all through the day, seven days a week.
