Total heaven for the sweet of tooth, this patisserie and café is related to Bea’s of Bloomsbury and shows off its wares with mouth-watering displays of cakes and other goodies out front (the wedding cakes are jaw-dropping) and a busy kitchen at the back. Executive chef Jane Smyth (fresh from Fortnum & Mason) has taken over the kitchen, so expect elegant, light dishes at lunchtime, such as serrano ham with tapenade and fig relish on toast or prosciutto, bocconcini and artichoke salad. Afternoon tea is also an option, with the terrace being a good option. If the sky looks threatening, retire to the pretty, pastel-shaded dining room.
