About American Museum In Britain

Surrounded by a wide, lush green space, the American Museum and Gardens were created by a British American couple, Dallas Pratt and John Judkyn, opening their doors to the public in 1961 with the goal of showcasing American decorative arts, and to show people other ways of thinking outside of stereotypes that surround American culture. When you visit the American Museum and Gardens, you'll find a museum located in a Grade II building, an exhibition gallery, beautiful gardens set on 125 acres of green, rolling topography with views across the valleys, a stables and coach house, and the American garden deli. So if you're looking for a venue to hire in the area, you can see why the American Museum and Gardens would be the perfect choice for many kinds of events.

Catering to many kinds of events, such as weddings, work events, and special celebrations, the team is happy to pull together your vision for guests of a large or small amount. The American Museum and Gardens is called home for many conferences, away days, AGMs, award ceremonies, product launches, seminars and workshops, along with providing a stunning location backdrop for TV, film and photo shoots. The stables are the largest event space and can accommodate 120 standing guests and 110 seated. Looking for something bigger? Fear not. The team can pull together a marquee on the lawn for 240 seated guests or 400 standing.

Each space is designed as a blank canvas, ready for you to dress the venue in a way that reflects the style of your event. As the American Museum and Gardens is closed to the public in January, February and early March each year, along with Mondays in school term time, you would benefit from total venue hire if booking during these times, at no extra cost.
