Venue Review of Radisson Edwardian Guildford

Summer 2011 saw the opening of the new Radisson Edwardian Guildford. This slick, modern hotel in the town centre was designed with meetings and events firmly in mind. The stand-out space is the impressive Lobby, which can be hired for cocktail receptions and launches up to 400-strong, or for up to 200 to dine. There are seven smaller meeting rooms, including a boardroom with frosted glass walls. As you’d expect from a brand-new hotel, AV facilities are bang up-to-date. Relish restaurant serves up modern British cuisine (and has a good selection of English wines) and MKB bar is the place to be in the evening. This stylish space can be hired for events and parties for up to 70 guests. Guildford is just off the M3, and only 36 minutes by train from London Waterloo, so reaching the hotel is a cinch. It’s also in prime golfing country, for those who like to do business on the green.
