The cathedral-like Glasshouse at RHS Wisley is no ordinary conservatory. Forty feet tall and covering an area the size of 10 tennis courts, this impressive glass structure houses a world-class plant collection that includes hundreds of orchid species and other fragrant flowers, as well as towering palm trees. It is available to hire for evening events for up to 550 guests from 7-11pm, with guests able to explore three interlinked zones, where winding paths take them past waterfalls, pools and rocky outcrops, up a gentle slope into the canopy of plants. There are beautiful views of the surrounding gardens and summer events can spill out onto a lakeside terrace. Catering is provided by the established Company of Cooks, which delivers colourful menus based on locality, simplicity and seasonality. Breakfasts, barbecues and food stations sit alongside seated dining options. RHS Wisley is just off the M25 at junction 10.
