In the midst of a 780-acre estate on an island in Cork Harbour, the five-star Fota Island Resort is well known for its first-rate spa & golf facilities, but is just as geared towards conferencing & meetings. Supported by a 24-hour business centre & Wi-Fi throughout, five function rooms include the Smith Barry Suite, the largest space at 400 capacity for a conference, with an outdoor terrace accommodating alfresco breakouts & receptions. All rooms have climate controls & state-of-the-art lighting. The surrounding woodland not only creates a tranquil backdrop, it also provides the setting for on-site teambuilding, from archery, laser tag & shooting to inflatable games. Golf is another popular diversion, with 27 holes of championship play on a course that has hosted The Irish Open & has a world-class golf academy. The resort is only 15 minutes from Cork International Airport & the city centre.
