West Wing
Designed to be visible from Edinburgh, neo-classical mansion Gosford House is a 200-year-old country pile set in 5,000 acres of coast and parkland in East Lothian. The two-tier Marble Hall, which boasts an imposing double staircase, is the standout space, housing one of the greatest private art collections in Scotland and holding up to 400 guests for a reception. For mealtimes, the grand Dining Room can hold 100 guests, for a banquet of wild boar, chicken... or game from the estate, perhaps? The grounds are made for large-scale activity days and incentive trips, with a golf course, boathouse, curling rink and Highland games, and marquee space for up to 2,000. Groups holding events in the summer are encouraged to enjoy barbecues, while accommodation is offered on an exclusive-use basis at the six-bedroom, five-star-rated Green Craig with the award winning Craigielaw golf course, one of four on the estate.
