With beautiful views over the Mediterranean Sea, the five-star Elysium in Paphos has a palatial feel, with a design influenced by the Byzantine era. Using local stone & timber in warm muted colours, 250 rooms & suites are complemented by six restaurants & bars, with chefs using the herbs & vegetables grown on the hotel’s own plot. A quartet of event spaces comprises the Basilica Grand Hall & its Foyer, Templar Hall & Eleonor Hall. The former is a richly decorated pillar-free space that holds up to 450 but can be subdivided into three smaller rooms. Similarly, the smaller Templar Hall can split into two while the Mediterranean-style Eleonor is more of a classic boardroom, seating 25 for a meeting or 30 for dinner. Alfresco spaces include the Orpheus Amphitheatre seating 120, which is popular for weddings. Leisure facilities include a spa offering ESPA treatments, floodlit tennis courts & fitness studios.
