Situated adjacent to a UNESCO world heritage site (the 16th-century bastions of Valletta), Grand Hotel Excelsior brings you close to both the history of Malta & the edge of the sea. A sense of style & grandeur permeates throughout the hotel’s 439 rooms, which blend classic style with contemporary features & views over Marsamxett Harbour & Manoel Island. Purpose-built conference facilities can cater for up to 1,000 delegates & there are 10 separate spaces to choose from, as well as the alfresco Piazza Marina seating 1,000. For even larger events, the hotel works in association with the Mediterranean Conference Centre, which holds a further 1,400 delegates theatre style. All outdoor function areas overlook the hotel’s private Maltese Harbour, while indoor venues all have natural daylight & stunning views. Three restaurants serve a choice of British, continental & exotic food & there are also four different bars on site.
