Venue Review of Magna Science Adventure Centre
It’s difficult to get a sense of the scale of Magna Science Adventure Centre, until you know that it’s the former Templeborough Steelworks. Transformed into an award-winning visitor attraction – a conversion which won the Stirling Prize when it opened in 2001 – with over 6,000sq m of dedicated event space. Choose from blank canvas halls, contemporary restaurants and conference rooms, all built around the building’s original industrial features. The Big Hall caters for dinners of up to 800, concerts of 3,000 and meetings of 2,500, with direct vehicle access. For a more hands-on experience, guests can operate a digger or watch a fire tornado in the attractions pavilions, or opt for high-octane activities such as bungee jumping or zip-wires. Magna’s event team provide support from enquiry to the delivery of your event and the venue is less than a mile from the M1 with over 500 parking spaces.
