Brasserie
Farnborough’s 169-bedroom Aviator was opened by TAG group in 2008. With its sleek modern design, it’s a hotel that eschews airport-lodging blandness for a stylish, boutique feel. The events wing presents seven versatile meeting rooms that can be used individually for meetings, conferences and dining. The stand-out space, however, is the Sky Lounge, set on the fourth floor overlooking the airport. Combine this with the Rotunda to create a private event space for 120. For larger events, Aviator’s neighbouring exhibition venue FIVE holds up to 3,000 in theatre-style. The comfortable bedrooms are decorated in a contemporary style: walnut panelling, granite and chrome finishing and king-size beds with Egyptian cotton linen. Wi-Fi is free. The on-site brasserie serves up fresh and seasonal classics, paired with a carefully selected wine list. Its location, just minutes from the M3 and M25, is another strong point.
