This Grade II-listed building, set in 400 acres of parkland & formal gardens, is the former home of press baron & cabinet minister, the 1st Lord Beaverbrook, & was the scene for many top-level meetings in the 1930s & 40s. Following a five-year refurbishment (the interior design is by David Mlinaric, whose commissions include the Royal Opera House & Asprey’s), Cherkley Court now offers an exclusive setting to host corporate board meetings, small conferences & social events. Its proximity to London & position near the M25, Gatwick & Heathrow makes it accessible despite its private setting. Cherkley Court has six ground floor meeting rooms including the red & gold dining room, which seats 22 for meetings & dinners, the Saloon, a long drawing room opening onto a terrace that holds up to 70 theatre-style, & the airy 110-capacity Orangery, which is positioned next to the main house.
