At the heart of the 6,500 acre Ragley Estate in Warwickshire is Ragley Hall, a fine Palladian house which is home to the Marquess and Marchioness of Hertford. One of England’s most arresting stately homes and a tourist attraction in its own right, the house provides an imposing setting for private and corporate events. The Great Hall is the largest function room and boasts a high ceiling adorned with elegant plasterwork. The more intimate Red Saloon has been kept exactly as it was when first designed by James Wyatt in 1780 (although the red damask on the walls is replaced every 100 years). Other formal rooms have an intimate feel, and log fires can add to the warmth of the welcome at winter events. The in-house catering team prepares fine cuisine using fresh produce from the estate, while the 400 acres of surrounding Capability Brown-designed parkland offers ample space for even the largest outdoor event.
