Basildon Park Information:

Basildon Park, the beautiful Palladian mansion featured in the 2005 adaptation of Jane Austin’s Pride & Prejudice, is one of many stunning properties available to hire for corporate hospitality through The National Trust. Built between the years of 1776 & 1783, its elegant interiors were lovingly restored by Lord & Lady Illiffe in the 1950s & boast impressive original features as well as a fine collection of period paintings, furniture & textiles. Distinctive rooms, such as the Grand Hall & Dining Room, now offer a stunning facility for fine dining & meetings, providing something quite unique for a special occasion. Just seven miles from Reading, the house is well connected but enjoys a tucked-away location within its own glorious parkland on the banks of the Thames. Marquee sites are available to the front or on the croquet lawn, which affords impressive views of the surrounding countryside.
