The Samling sits just a few hundred feet above the shores of Lake Windermere & is surrounded by 67 acres of beautiful woodland, fields & landscaped gardens. Described as ‘a hotel in the country, not a country house hotel’, its refreshingly unstuffy ambience lends itself perfectly to exclusive house parties & executive off-sites, especially as there are only 11 bedrooms. A stylish meeting room for 14 has all the technology a forward-thinking company would expect, while the award-winning restaurant serves up seasonal food based on local ingredients. Licensed to host civil wedding ceremonies, the venue has a further function space in its 50-capacity Dutch barn & there is also room for marquees in the grounds. All are served by an experienced & enthusiastic brigade of staff with a genuinely friendly outlook & ‘can-do’ attitude, which makes for brilliantly organised events.
