It is also one of very few five-star properties in which to hold a meeting or conference in the North-East of England. Lord Byron used the historic hall as a wedding venue back in 1815, but its period façade now hides a thoroughly contemporary Design Hotel with light, airy rooms, top-notch technology & an impressive collection of modern art. Four function suites can accommodate anything from boardroom meetings to receptions for 200 guests, with excellent catering from the hotel’s award-winning kitchen or the Michelin-starred White Room restaurant.
